Pull Over Info
This is a special day where you will determine most of your own stops. It’s hard to get lost; the roads are not very complicated. Traffic can be a real pain in the butt, with rubber-necker’s stopping at every sighting of virtually any animal, so ride careful and be safe. Sudden stops in the middle of the road are very common. If you see someone point, be aware, everyone will look and forget they are driving a cage!! Make sure your camera has recharged batteries and/or film.

Hotel Info
We are spending the night at the Absaroka Lodge in the town of Gardiner, MT just outside the Northwest entrance to Yellowstone’s Mammoth Hot Springs. Our motel is on the shores of the Yellowstone River and your view is exceptional. We will head up the road about 5 miles for dinner at the Lighthouse Restaurant. This is not a place most people would be inclined to stop at. An ocean theme in Montana, an Asian menu (sort of), while playing Scottish music in the background, but the World Cuisine 5 Star Chef creates some great food. |

Day five of the ride has us in Yellowstone National Park where we will have the time to explore more of its natural wonders. There will be lots of opportunity to see the sights of special interest to you. Some may choose to ride on their own, as not everyone is interested in the same sights. For sure you will want to see the famous Old Faithful and if you stay with us we usually arrive in time for a “BLAST” (well they call it an eruption) either before or after lunch at the Old Faithful Inn cafeteria. The important thing is to be sure to get to the Northwest Entrance at Mammoth Hot Springs for our evening stay at the Absaroka Lodge in Gardiner, MT and dinner at the Lighthouse restaurant.
Some will want to hike around the Mud Pots, some will want to spend time at the Old Yellowstone Inn, some will take special interest in the wild life, some will want to ride and see as much of the park as possible. However, we should be covering all of the main roads, some a couple of times, so it is unlikely you will miss any pavement. The key is to enjoy yourself, see as much as possible, and have a great time.
